The remote reading type water meter is composed of a common water meter and an electronic acquisition module. The electronic module completes signal acquisition, data processing, storage and uploads the data to the repeater or the hand-held meter reading device through the communication line. The body is designed in one piece, which can record and save the user's water consumption in real time. Each water meter has a unique code. When the smart meter receives the meter reading command, it can upload the water meter data to the management system.

Main control parameters:

The remote reading type water meter is based on the ordinary mechanical hot and cold water meter, and is composed of the remote reading system. The main control parameters selected for the water meter part are flow rate, common flow rate, overload flow rate, minimum flow rate, boundary flow rate, nominal pressure, Maximum allowable working pressure, pressure loss, etc.

The main classification of remote water meters:

• Divided into electromechanical conversion methods: real-time conversion type remote reading type water meter, direct reading type remote reading type water meter

• According to the different vane wheel wheel construction: helix woltman remote reading water meter, rotary vane wheel remote reading water meter

• According to the immersion method of counting parts, it is divided into: dry type remote water meter and wet type remote water meter.

Key points for the selection of remote water meters:

The selection of the remote water meter must first consider the working environment of the water meter: such as the temperature of the water, the working pressure, the working time, the measuring range and the water quality, etc., and then select the water meter according to the design flow rate of the water meter to generate the water pressure loss close to and The water meter diameter is determined not to exceed the specified value. Under normal circumstances, when the nominal diameter is not greater than DN50, a rotary-type water meter should be used; when the nominal diameter is larger than DN50, a helix woltman water meter should be used; when the flow rate of the water meter varies greatly, a double-type water meter should be used. Wet water meters should be preferred in interior design.

1. When the water is even, the nominal diameter of the water meter should be determined according to the designed flow rate of the second meter. When there is fire flow, the flow check is required to ensure that the total flow does not exceed the maximum flow limit of the water meter.

Construction and installation points of the remote water meter:

The remote water meter should be installed in a place that is easy to access and read, free from exposure, freezing, pollution and mechanical damage.

1. The front end of the screw-type water meter should have 8~10 times the straight pipe with the nominal diameter of the water meter. For other types of water meters, there should be a straight pipe of not less than 300mm.

2. Rotor-type water meters and vertical helix woltman water meters should be installed horizontally; horizontal helix woltman and volumetric water meters can be installed horizontally, obliquely or vertically according to actual conditions; when vertical installation, the flow direction must be from bottom to top.

3. For the water supply system of life, production and fire fighting, if there is only one inlet pipe, the bypass pipe should be installed around the water meter.

4. Maintenance valves shall be installed on the front and rear of the water meter and on the bypass pipe. The water meter and the rear valve shall be equipped with a water discharge device. In order to reduce the head loss and ensure the straight flow of water in the front tube of the watch, the front valve of the watch should be a gate valve. The household water meter in the house may not be provided after the watch maintenance valve and the special drain device.

5. Water wells should be protected from flooding and rain.

6. The direction of the remote water meter should match the type of the water meter.

7. When the remote water meter may reverse, affect the metering and damage the remote water meter, a check valve should be placed behind the remote water meter.

8. Installation requirements for hot and cold water meters are basically the same except for different operating temperatures. The maximum operating temperature of the hot water meter is 90 °C. If the hot water meter is installed in front of the boiler or heat exchanger, a back check valve should be provided behind the water meter to prevent backflow.

9. There are two ways to install the remote water meter: the remote water meter that only functions as an outdoor meter reading device is simple to install. Just connect the water meter output system to the data display device (repeater) installed outdoors. Another way is to connect all the remote water meters of the entire building or the entire community to the community management department through the repeater and the network controller, and perform unified management through the terminal equipment.
